SJVN Green Energy (SGEL), a unit of SJVN, has issued bids for consultancy services to create a detailed roadmap, prepare a project report (DPR), and draft a tender document for a 25 MW green hydrogen project in Assam.
The project will adopt electrolysis-based technology powered by renewable energy. The tender was issued on behalf of SGEL Assam Renewable Energy, a joint venture between SGEL and Assam Power Distribution Company (APDCL).
Bidders must submit their proposals by February 27, 2025. The bids will be opened the same day. An earnest money deposit of Rs 50,000 and a tender document fee of Rs 2,360 would be required.
The scope includes technical studies, roadmap development, DPR preparation, and assistance in drafting the project’s tender documents. The selected consultant must complete the assignment within three months of award. They must also have an average annual turnover of Rs 50 lakh over the past three financial years.
Bidders must have at least seven years of consultancy experience as of the last day of the month and must meet at least one of the criteria including, construction of a similar project with a contract value of Rs 20 lakh or more, two similar projects, each worth at least Rs 12.5 lakh or three similar projects, each valued at Rs 10 lakh or more.
The National Green Hydrogen Mission rolled out by the Central Government has an outlay of Rs 600 crore for the FY 2024 – 25 under various heads. The Green Hydrogen production capacity envisaged by 2030 is likely to leverage over Rs 8 lakh crore in total investments in the Green Hydrogen industry. This investment is estimated to create 6,00,000 jobs by 2030.
