Singapore headquartered renewable energy conglomerate KIS Group has announced that it has received new orders to develop new biogas plants in Gujarat, India. Founder & Chief Operating Officer, Raghunath KR, informed that his firm has received two more repeat orders for the construction of two biogas plants with a capacity of 100 MT/day for each plant.

“Banas Dairy, Asia’s largest dairy producer, is leading the sustainability and net-zero initiatives in the industry. With these projects, they are setting global benchmarks and becoming the most sustainable and net-zero dairy industry, setting an example for others to follow,” he said.

He said that KIS Group’s first biogas plant for Banas Dairy is already an award winner. The biogas plant was developed by KIS in 2020. The project also became the most visited plant not just in India but also in Asia. He said that he and his team are thrilled to build two more plants here onwards.

Both the projects will be developed in Palanpur District of Gujarat. A 100 tonnes per day biogas plant will be built in Bhukhala village and the other of same capacity will come up in Agthala village of the district.

KIS group will also be partnering with IDMC Limited which is a subsidiary of National Dairy Development Board  for the execution of these projects.

“Amul (GCMMF) brand products are getting close to NetZero dairy products! We are proud and blessed to contribute to this cause,” said Raghunath.

KIS group has yet not disclosed the cost of the projects and when the work is expected to being or completed.
