KIS Group gets two repeat biogas & carbon management orders in Indonesia

The Singapore based KIS group has said that it has received 2 more repeat orders in 2024 in Indonesia where it already has substantial presence. The KIS Group has four successful projects in the country spanning over 13 years.

Founder & CEO Raghunath KR said, “The first contract KIS Group-Sustainability received from Belgium Headquartered SIPEF group was in 2011. Back then Biogas / methane capture from waste was confined to the CEOs and companies very serious about environment! We are so blessed and proud to be working with SIPEF group. We can never thank enough to the Managing Director & Management.”

KIS Group had four orders in the past 12 years at PT Agromuko operational since 2013, Hargy Oil Palms operational since 2014, PT UMW operational since 2016 and PT Tolan Tiga operational since 2017. All four biogas plants are earning carbon credits today.

The repeat orders KIS Group has received are 24,316 cubic meters/day biogas and carbon management project at PT AMR and 24,244 cubic meters/day biogas and carbon management project at PT Dendy Marker – both in Indonesia.

He said that companies who made the right choice like SIPEF kept on doing it repeatedly and reaped & reaping the huge benefits. He also mentioned that now they are the most sustainable, publicly listed Palm oil company in the world. “This also explains why it’s so important to do it right first time.So many failed projects 12 years back and even now,” he added.

Raghunath KR said that in 2011 and 2012, the first 2 tenders they faced had different competitors. Thereafter, in 2015 & 2016, the KIS Group had different competitors and the previous competitors of 2012 had vanished.

He also mentioned that in 2023 & 2024 the company again faced different competitors in the Indonesian market.

“What this proves beyond doubt , Biogas is 90% Knowledge based. So, doing it right first time is extremely important in Biogas industry. Wish to share another data, these 4 projects each day capture more methane & carbon credits than 8 similar capacity projects,” mentioned the KIS Group leader.
