Ahmedabad anchored Airox Nigen Equipments Pvt. Ltd., a leading turnkey provider of hydrogen production, storage, and power solutions, has successfully delivered and commissioned a 1 MW containerized hydrogen system in Russia which represents a major milestone in the company’s global expansion.
Located in Russia, the project covered the full hydrogen system lifecycle—from design, engineering, and supply to installation, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance. This holistic approach ensured the smooth integration of Airox Nigen’s advanced technology into a practical, real-world application.
The electrolyzer at the heart of the system has a 1 MW capacity, producing high-purity hydrogen during daylight hours. It operates with high efficiency, generating hydrogen essential for diverse industrial uses.
The produced hydrogen is stored in a 50 m³ tank at 30 bar pressure, allowing for safe, efficient storage, ready for demand. A primary use of the system is in oil purification, where hydrogen enhances both stability and environmental sustainability. By utilizing hydrogen in the purification process, Airox Nigen enables industries to lower their carbon footprint and improve operational efficiency.
As part of a micro-grid project, the system passed a rigorous 72-hour trial, showcasing its reliability and performance. The successful completion of the performance guarantee test run (PGTR) underscores Airox Nigen’s technical expertise and dedication to delivering high-quality hydrogen solutions.
Aniruddh Agrawal, BDM, Airox Nigen, stated, “Delivering this 1 MW containerized hydrogen system in Russia marks a significant milestone for Airox Nigen. It not only strengthens our global presence but also highlights our commitment to pioneering sustainable, clean energy solutions.”
Recently, Airox Nigen celebrated another achievement, becoming the first company in India to install over 80 hydrogen generation plants. As the company marks its 30th anniversary, it celebrates three decades of innovation in industrial solutions and hydrogen technologies.
