Bengaluru-headquartered GPS Renewables Pvt Ltd (GPSR), a leading biofuel technology firm in the country, has announced to have joined hands with Arka BRENStech Pvt Ltd (ABPL) to step up bio-CNG development in India. Arka BRENStech claims to be a renowned biogas pioneer.
As per the announcement, GPS Renewables and ABPL are set to offer comprehensive engineering services together, including Project Management services and specialized equipment for Bio-CNG plants producing up to 10 TPD of CBG.
ABPL will provide OptiMAXX equipment of GPS Renewables which is specifically tailored for India’s CBG sector, and their advanced lab equipment powered by German technology.
“To deliver efficiency and excellence, our partnership targets mid-size CBG plants, the largest segment in India’s CBG sector. By combining our project experience, engineering prowess, and OptiMAXX equipment with ABPL’s engineering skills, execution experience, and advanced lab equipment, we’re poised to deliver top-performing mid-size bioCNG plants. We are setting new industry standards and boosting India’s bio-CNG sector, said the company in its announcement.
A week ago, GPS Renewables announced that it has partnered with Dubai-based SAF One for the construction and development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Projects in India. SAF One is a platform focused on the development of global sustainable aviation fuel solutions.
Prior to that GPS Renewables secured $50 million (Rs 410 crore) in debt financing from a consortium of banks and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) for the development of CBG plants in India. The funding round saw involvement from various institutions including Punjab National Bank, HDFC Bank, Yes Bank, HSBC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, Citibank, Vivriti Capital, Northern Arc, Spark Capital, Tata Capital, and SIDBI.
In a bid to further its expansion endeavors, GPS Renewables acquired Germany-based design and engineering firm Proweps Envirotech last year.
