Ecoppia to Deploy its Robotic Cleaning Solution at REWA Solar Park
Ecoppia, a global automated photovoltaic cleaning solutions provider, announced today that an agreement has been reached with Sprng Energy for the deployment of the company’s E4 robotic system at Sprng Energy’s 325MW site in REWA solar park in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.
With over 3GW of secured projects across the globe, Ecoppia is a key figure in the sector of robotic solutions for PV. They offer a connected platform which helps in cost-effectively maximizing the performance of utility-scale installations. Cloud-based and water-free, the automated robotic systems remove dust from solar panels on a daily basis using advanced machine learning and IOT capabilities.
Maintainance of solar installations, especially the availability of water for the same is becoming a key issue worldwide, as areas like deserts with good solar irradiance do not necessarily have good water supplies, making it a good market opportunity for firms like Ecoppia.
Sprng Energy, a renewable firm backed by Actis Capital had won the project at a then record low-tariff of INR 2.97, which was the lowest tariff at the time of bidding. The company is responsible for the successful operation and maintenance of the site for a period of 25 years and with the deployment of these high-end robotic cleaning systems the site is expected to save over 1 billion litres of water and reduce its operating expenses drastically over the period of operation.

Remotely managed and controlled, Ecoppia claims that their platform allows solar sites to peak performance with minimal costs and human intervention. Ecoppia’s proprietary algorithms and robotic solutions handle the day-to-day Operations and Maintenance of solar activities safer, efficient and more reliable.
