Samridh Bioenergy, CEID Consultants break ground on 12 TPD CBG project in Moradabad

Samridh Bioenergy and Organics, with the help of CEID Consultants and Engineering, has officially launched construction on a 12 TPD compressed biogas (CBG) plant as part of India’s waste-to-energy initiative under the National Bioenergy Programme of MNRE Ministry. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in Hasanpur Patti village, Tehsil Bilari, in the Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh.

CEID Consultants and Engineering Pvt. Ltd. has been appointed as the EPC/LSTK contractor for the CBG project. Spread across 12 acres, the biogas plant will process up to 270 tons of organic waste daily and generate approximately 30,000 cubic meters of biogas per day.

The CBG facility will feature four digesters equipped with a multi-feed system capable of handling various types of organic waste, including press mud, cow dung, chicken litter, and vegetable waste. Designed with flexibility in mind, the plant will also accommodate seasonal waste based on local availability. This ensures consistent, year-round biogas production and reinforces the circular economy by converting agricultural and organic waste into clean, renewable energy.

CEID Consultants is tasked with the complete design, procurement, and construction of the plant, and is expected to deliver the fully operational facility within the next year. Once commissioned, the plant will supply compressed biogas to Torrent Gas as part of the CBG-CGD Synchronisation Scheme in partnership with the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL).

The ceremony was attended by key members of Samridh Bioenergy, including Ashu Chib and Ashwani Chib, along with their team. Representing CEID Consultants were Prince Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi, Abhinav Govil, Anup Maheshwari, and Veethika Singh. CEID reaffirmed its commitment to building a safe, efficient, and future-ready biogas facility aligned with national sustainability goals.
