Swacch Bio to set-up Rs1000 crore biofuel plant in Telangana

The 250 KLPD second-generation cellulosic biofuel plant by Swacch Bio will directly employ 250 people.

As the country looks to manage its waste and derive energy from it, Swachh Bio, a lignocellulosic biofuels manufacturing company committed to providing sustainable energy solutions, has said that it is about establish a 250 KLPD second-generation cellulosic biofuel plant in Telangana.

Swachh Bio also informed that the first phase of this project will see a capital investment of over Rs 1,000 crore.

This announcement followed a meeting in New York with an official delegation from Telangana, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with IT & Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu and other officials. During the first phase, Swachh Bio will directly employ 250 people at the plant and create an additional 250 jobs in support and ancillary roles.

The company also outlined plans to help Telangana become a hub for biofuels by establishing more plants in the near future. The state government has pledged full support for these initiatives.

Swachh Bio chairman Praveen Paripati mentioned, “We are highly impressed by the decentralised development vision of the new Telangana government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. We are excited to partner with the state and be part of its development and transformation journey. We are sure that it will help us grow tremendously in the coming years.”

Telangana Chief Minister Office said in a statement, “Praveen Paripati praised the state’s vision and looks forward to contributing to its transformation. More plants to come!”
