Kenya Nut Company & TalusAg to Install First Commercial Green Ammonia System

* talusOne is the first deployment by Talus, that has been installed at Kenya Nut Company's Morendat farm located in Naivasha, Kenya. talusOne is powered by a 2.1 MW solar farm and generates close to one tonne of green ammonia everyday.

Kenya Nut Company, a multi-national agricultural firm, has joined hands with TalusAg that delves into green ammonia technology. The firms will be responsible for the installation of the first commercial modular green ammonia system. The initiative will pave the path for clean production of fertilizers.

The zero-carbon system of Talus generated ammonia with just the use of sun, water, and air.

talusOne is the first deployment by Talus, that has been installed at Kenya Nut Company’s Morendat farm located in Naivasha, Kenya. talusOne is powered by a 2.1 MW solar farm and generates close to one tonne of green ammonia everyday. One tonne of green ammonia curbs up to 8 tonnes of carbon emissions produced at the time of traditional ammonia production and distribution.

The two firms have entered into a supply agreement of fifteen years, enabling the supply of green ammonia fertilizer at a fixed price.
